Wintertime

December 11th, 2013 • Posted by Bonnie May Barlow • Permalink

Winter is here.
Without a doubt, winter has arrived.
Never mind the coldness requiring layers, wool socks, etc.
Never mind the cool drafts wafting about my ankles in the house.
Never mind the snow falling from sky and slowly covering the yard.
It is dipping into the frozen stash of summertime berries for the oatmeal that has brought it home to roost.
Winter has arrived.
The simultaneous rationing and savoring has begun.

Holidays Are Upon Us!

Hustle and bustle of this glimmering time of the year is cranking up.
STOP!
Look around as this season progresses and find as many ways as you can to extend kindness into the world.
Yes, KINDNESS.
A smile. A held door. A parking spot given up. A taser kept holstered. Someones lunch or coffee purchased. A hot drink for the bell ringer. A meal delivered to the live alone elder down the block. Old blankets, sheets delivered to the local animal shelter.
Items placed in the barrels at almost every store in town. Hand written notes of gratitude to the service providers in your life. Get creative with your kindness. Encourage everyone in your life to do the same. A kindness revolution. now that would be grand!

Just be Kind folks. Be Kind.
Until next time.
Blessings on your walk.

Just Around the Corner

Oh boy.
Halloween has just passed and soon we will be carving the turkey and hustling our way to Christmas.

Consider the possibility this year of adopting a family for one of the up coming holidays.

Spending less on one another, brainstorming to create holidays for a family having a hard time will nourish your heart and display the true meaning of the holidays like nothing else.

Get the entire extended family together for the project, gather friends to help bring joy and love into the lives of others.

Trust me. You will NOT regret it.
Something to think about.

Until next time.

Blessings on the Work.
